My friend Jennie hired me to create a video for her travel grant application to teach children in Cuzco, Peru. I developed a simple treatment that would bring Jennie front and center with a few fun inserts and B roll. We shot for a few hours in front of a simple lighting setup and had next to no equipment on hand, but a large enough space that inspired some fun ideas to try out. Jennie was a real sport for giving me creative license to play around.
The trip is sponsored by Travelocity and they are currently holding a contest that sponsors trips to Brazil, Tanzania, Peru, Ghana and more. The grant is part of Travelocity’s initiative called Travel For Good and it’s a great cause that promotes hands-on experience, allowing for travelers to make a positive impact on the communities and countries they visit.
I was happy to help out Jennie, who is a good friend and someone I fully believe is capable of making a huge difference with her years of experience as a teacher. Votes are important for candidates to win. You are allowed to vote as many times as you like between now and December (though just once per day) and you don’t have to have an account or anything.
